Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

At Align and Restore Studio, I bypass the generic, one-size-fits-all approach to movement. Your body, your nervous system, and your daily energy levels are entirely unique. That is why I offer a refined range of distinct services, each meticulously designed to meet you exactly where you are—whether you are looking to master traditional alignment, build structural strength, or navigate deep clinical rehabilitation.

Explore the Classes: Head over to the Studio Sessions tab at the top of the page to view all available sessions.

Get in Touch: Alternatively, visit the Contact Me tab to send me a direct message and discuss your unique goals.

What should I wear to my session?

There is absolutely no need to purchase a brand-new workout wardrobe. Simply choose any comfortable, stretchable clothing you already own that allows you to move freely without restriction.

Avoid items with exposed metal zippers, heavy buttons, or sharp hardware on the back or sides. These can press uncomfortably into your skin during floor work.

Bringing a light pullover or sweatshirt is a wonderful idea for Sound Healing or restorative Yoga. Because your nervous system deeply relaxes during these passive treatments, your heart rate slows down and your body temperature will naturally drop.

Yoga and Sound Healing are practiced completely barefoot.

For Pilates and Reformer sessions, grip socks are highly recommended for safety and stability on the machine. However, if you do not own a pair yet, please do not worry—standard clean socks or bare feet are absolutely fine to get you started, or you can buy a pair from me on the day.

Where are the sessions located?

All sessions currently take place at my dedicated home-based studio space in Athersley, Barnsley.

This setup allows me to offer a private, sanctuary designed for zero distractions, ensuring you receive my absolute undivided attention.

To maintain strict privacy for all clients, the exact address and arrival details will be sent directly to you once your booking is confirmed and paid and you are ready to begin your journey.

What is your cancellation policy?

I operate a 12-hour cancellation and rescheduling policy.

Because Align and Restore is a private, low-volume studio sanctuary, your scheduled time slot is reserved exclusively for you.

Late Cancellation Terms:

Any sessions cancelled, changed, or rescheduled with less than 12 hours' notice will be charged in full.

For block packages or class passes, a late cancellation will result in that specific session being deducted from your remaining balance.

Unforeseen Emergencies:

I entirely understand that unexpected life events, sudden illness, or emergencies can happen.

If you find yourself in an exceptional circumstance, please reach out to me directly as early as possible so we can discuss how best to manage your booking.

I will also message to confirm your session either the evening before a morning appointment or in the morning for an afternoon/evening appointment.

How do you protect and handle my personal data?

At Align and Restore, I take your digital privacy seriously. Here is exactly how I handle your information when you interact with my website:

  • What I Collect: When you fill out our contact form, I only collect the basic details you explicitly provide, such as your name, email address, and phone number.

  • Why I Collect It: I use this information solely to communicate with you, answer your fitness questions, and coordinate your private studio bookings.

  • Data Sharing: I never sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information with third-party marketers or external companies.

  • Data Security: Your contact information is stored securely and is only accessible by the studio owner (myself) to manage client relationships.

  • Your Rights: You have full control over your digital footprint. If you ever want me to permanently delete your emails, contact information, or message history from my records, simply send an email request to [info@alignandrestore.co.uk] and I will erase it immediately.

Do I need medical clearance to attend?

Your Safety First & Foremost:

Before confirming your booking, I will send over a comprehensive Client Intake Form and Waiver Form. This is your dedicated space to securely share your medical history. If you are managing acute physical injuries, complex medical diagnoses, severe neurological conditions, chronic autoimmune flare-ups, metabolic issues, or a high-risk pregnancy, you can safely let me know on there so I can tailor your care perfectly.

My background bridges the gap between holistic movement and advanced clinical science. Because I am currently completing advanced postgraduate training in Clinical Neurology and Endocrinology, sharing your medical history allows me to look at your health through a highly precise lens.

The more detailed clinical information you provide, the better I can tailor your therapeutic movements, breathwork, and nervous system protocols to safely support your body's exact needs.

When a Doctor's Note is Required:

While a formal note isn't always necessary for general lifestyle practices, a brief letter of clearance or specific movement guidelines from your GP, consultant, or physiotherapist is required if you are recovering from recent surgery, managing unstable cardiovascular issues, or dealing with an acute spinal injury.

Collaborative Clinical Care:

I am fully committed to working alongside your existing medical team. If you have specific rehabilitation charts, physical therapy exercises, or clinical restrictions provided by your doctor, please bring them to your initial assessment so we can seamlessly integrate them into your customised pathway.

What payment methods do you accept, and how do I pay?

Payment via Bank Transfer:

To secure your private session slot or to activate your chosen package, all payments are made via secure bank transfer.

Securing Your Booking:

Payment is required upfront to officially lock your chosen time slot into the studio calendar.

Once we agree on your session time and you have completed your Client Intake Form, I will send over the bank details so you can easily complete the transfer.

Package Activation:

For block packages and class passes, the full balance must be cleared before your initial assessment or first clinical session begins.

Packages officially activates on the date of your very first physical session, ensuring you get the full validity period to complete your practices.

Private Group Bookings (Max 4 People):

To keep studio administration streamlined, I require one single payment from the primary booker for the full group session amount.

I cannot accept individual, split bank transfers from separate group members. The person hosting the session pays the full amount upfront and can coordinate splitting costs with their guests privately
